Second Stop: Lincod Satellite Village Center

Located at Lincod, Maribojoc. This is the first satellite village center. It is being managed by a people’s organization called Abatan Lincod Mangrove Growers Organization (ALIMANGO).

In this stop, the guests are met by the members of the Lincod Cultural Collectives with leis to depict the “Abat” ritual. “Abat” is the root word of the term Abatan, which means to meet or to converge. Abatan River used to be a meeting or convergence place of farmers and fishers where they could barter their goods.

After the welcome ritual, a cultural show of the Lincod Cultural Collectives is performed depicting the community life and livelihood in the coastal communities. Community interaction follows after the cultural show.
